S.T. Dupont Releases “The Torch”

French luxury accessories manufacturer S.T. Dupont is preparing to introduce a new premium torch lighter next month called The Torch, a modern multi-purpose design created for cigar enthusiasts as well as general luxury lifestyle use.

Unlike traditional cigar lighters, The Torch was designed with versatility in mind. According to the company, the lighter is intended for a variety of applications including lighting cigars, candles, fireplaces, and even outdoor campfires. One of its most distinctive features is an adjustable swiveling head that allows the flame angle to shift from a straight position to approximately 45 degrees, making it easier to direct the flame in a variety of settings.

The lighter measures approximately 6.5 inches in length and features a slim, elongated profile measuring roughly 0.67 inches wide and deep. Mechanically, the design incorporates a powerful single jet torch flame paired with a pull-down ignition system, continuing the brand’s focus on combining functionality with luxury craftsmanship.

At launch, The Torch will be available in two finishes: black and chrome, as well as black and gold. Both versions carry a retail price of $595, positioning the lighter firmly within the premium luxury accessory category that has become synonymous with the S.T. Dupont name.

Founded in Paris in 1872, S.T. Dupont has long been recognized for producing high-end lighters, leather goods, writing instruments, and cigar accessories favored by collectors around the world. The company’s signature Ligne 2 and Le Grand models remain among the most recognizable luxury cigar lighters in the industry, known for their distinctive craftsmanship and iconic opening “cling” sound.

In the United States, distribution for the new lighter will once again be handled by Coles of London, the longtime American distributor for S.T. Dupont products. Initial inventory is expected to arrive in early April, with availability likely limited during the first shipment release as collectors and cigar retailers begin taking orders.
